Columbia University, USA
Class of 2021
Economics

Dominic is currently studying economics at Columbia University in New York and is a member of the Columbia Lions track and field and cross country teams. He quickly made his mark, earning a top 50 place at the Ivy League Championships.

Dominic completed his A levels at Cayman Prep and High School where he was an active member of the Student Council, serving as president in his last year; he was deputy head boy, leading a team of prefects and managing school assemblies; and was house captain during his last two years.

A gifted athlete, Dominic won gold and bronze medals at the 2017 CARIFTA Games for his performance in the 5000-metre and 1500-metre events respectively. This accomplishment, in addition to Dominic's participation and sportsmanship in intramural sporting activities, laid the foundation for his being recognised as Cayman Prep and High School's 2017 Athlete of the year.

In his free time, Dominic enjoys exploring New York City, and next year is hoping to get involved with the non-profit mentoring organization Read Ahead, where volunteers are matched with a student for the school year to read and spend time together.
